The Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) at SPMS, NTU is seeking applications for the position of Visiting Professor in Mathematics. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in mathematics, physics, or a closely related field. The Visiting Professor will work collaboratively with MAS colleagues in the areas of partial differential equations, numerical methods, inverse problems, and optimization. Emphasis will be placed on theoretical investigations and real-world applications, and the Visiting Professor is expected to explore collaborations with colleagues from other NTU schools, such as ASE, EOS, and CEE.
Applicants should have at least 10 years of experience in developing and applying mathematical inverse theory to solve real-world problems, such as seismic imaging, medical imaging, and non-destructive testing. Additionally, candidates should have a strong interest in solving problems relevant to Southeast Asia in the near future. The ideal candidate will be a world-renowned mathematician or scientist and have a proven track record of obtaining external grants and publishing regularly in top-tier journals.
