The Singapore Nuclear Research and Safety Initiative (SNRSI) is looking for a Visiting Research Professor in Nuclear Law.
The development and governance of peaceful nuclear activities require complex legal and regulatory frameworks, both at the international and national levels. As part of its research activities on the safety and governance of nuclear power, SNRSI wishes to benefit from the collaboration of a high-level expert in Nuclear Law, and offers a Visiting Research Professor position for an initial period of one year.
The visiting professor would be expected to participate in the multidisciplinary research conducted in SNRSI and in partner institutes on the development and governance of nuclear power. He/she would be expected to advise in and contribute to research projects, to interact on an ongoing basis with researchers, to provide training and contribute to the definition and implementation of seminars and other educational/informational events.
Interested applicants should submit a detailed resume and provide the contact information for 3 character referees.

The Visiting Research Professor should have extensive and comprehensive experience in the legal aspects related to the governance of peaceful uses of nuclear energy, including nuclear safety and security, development of nuclear energy, nuclear applications, international cooperation and civil liability for nuclear damage. This experience should be based on a minimum of 20 years of concrete practice in the national and international implementation of nuclear law, gained in operational activities with national programmes and international bodies. In particular, the visiting professor should have concrete experience in the legal and regulatory systems of various countries, gained through international cooperation; experience with, or preferably in international organisations would also be expected.
