About the Role:

We are hiring a

VMware Cloud Platform Engineer (Telco Focused)

for our client in Singapore on a

1-year contract

. The role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), NSX-T, and vRealize Suite in telecom environments. Experience with VMware Cloud Director is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) across production and non-production environments using Dell VxRail. Deploy and manage software-defined networking using NSX-T including BGP routing, distributed firewall, Layer 7 security, and load balancing with F5 integration. Install, upgrade, and maintain vRealize Suite: vROps, vRLI, vRA, vRNI, vRSLCM, and Workspace ONE Access. Plan and execute major VMware upgrades (e.g., VCF 4.3 to 5.0, vRealize 8.10 to 8.14). Integrate infrastructure with tools like Splunk for log analytics and forensic retention. Perform NFV stack validation, scenario testing, and assist with VNF product integration for telecom environments. Lead NSX-V to NSX-T migration projects including use of Migration Coordinator and vCloud Director Availability. Troubleshoot complex issues in vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and related VMware platforms. Document deployments and create configuration and user guides.

Must-Have Skills

Deep expertise in VMware vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, vCloud Director, and vRealize Suite. Hands-on experience with VCF deployment and lifecycle management. Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., BGP) and Layer 7 security. Experience with NFV testing, telco environments, and virtual network functions (VNFs). Proficient in NSX-V to NSX-T migration strategies. Experience integrating VMware infrastructure with third-party tools like Splunk and Palo Alto.
