About the Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

Job Responsibilities

Compliance and Controls - Business Unit Controls is responsible for the design and maintenance of the firm\'s oversight and control frameworks. The Business Unit Controls focus specializes in delivery of the firm\'s end-to-end controls framework within particular lines of business. Liaises with Compliance and Risk departments to ensure a seamless integration of the controls framework. Control Functions cover activities related to functions such as legal, compliance and anti-money laundering, audit, and risk management.

As a Cards Control and Compliance Manager your primary responsibility will be for the implementation and enhancement of the compliance/regulatory framework. You will ensure we are in compliant with all regulatory guidelines as well as internal and external policies.

• Drafting and implementing policies and procedures
• Review and work with teams for updates/changes of relevant policies and procedure
• Evaluating and ensuring adequate processes and procedures are in place
• Assessing processes to identify possible compliance risks and provision of advice to internal teams
• Advising internal management and business partners on the implementation of compliance programs
• Management of controls and conducting reviews post implementation
• Managing internal/external reviews and audits
• Ensuring incidents are actioned with proper plans and closed timely and appropriately.
• Following up on compliance issues that require investigation, raising incidents and closure of
• Providing advice and guidance for compliance issues that arise
• Closely collaborating with Compliance, Risk and Legal team for regulatory implementations
• Provide relevant training cross functional teams on compliance requirements
• Periodic reviews on AML matters for cards teams.

Job Requirements

• tertiary degree with preferably 5 years\' experience in Control and Compliance
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office
• Good communication and monitoring skills to ensure completion of task
• Willingness to learn on the job
• Possess an eye for detail and ability to meet deadlines
