We are looking for an experienced VP, Finance Operation to join the team
Starts off as a 12 months contract
He/she will work closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders to support new policy administration system (PAS) end-to-end process integration to PSGL. This is around the migration of current policy administration system to new policy administration system.This role offers a good learning and development opportunity for the right individual with exposure to the Insurance Finance BAU processes and ongoing projects across the region. It also provides a platform to broaden and strengthen the candidate\'s knowledge of both business processes and activities as well as gain experience in controls aspects of Finance.Key responsibilities include:
Working closely with a broader Finance Operations and Finance Change Delivery team.
Work with various stakeholders in ensuring the quality of data that flows into the general ledger.
Assistance in providing and reviewing requirements on Finance Operations requirements.
Have a broad knowledge of cash management and interbank fund transfer functions.
Undertake testing tasks for system integration with GL for a variety of finance operations activities.
Write and review range of testing documentation and provide submissions to the project team.
Coordinate testing tasks for specific projects, progress issues and escalate where necessary.
Regularly review testing processes to identify ways to improve efficiency.
Plan and support validation activity for live releases of new system.
Ability to influence and challenge to ensure that finance operations requirement and controls are represented.
Coordinate activities of testing and provide support/coaching to the finance operations team.
Work collaboratively with software delivery and change delivery representing finance operations.
Review test documentation and provide coaching and feedback to finance operations team.
Adoption and use of testing standards and processes
Chair and attend project update meetings, deliver project updates, and escalate any known issues and concerns
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
Background in Finance preferred with 10 years Finance operations experience.
Have good knowledge and hands-on experience working on Life Insurance Policy Admin is a distinct advantage.
Experience in testing eBAO PAS or any Life Insurance PAS and insurance products are advantage.
Possess strong understanding and exposure in life insurance operations and procedures (e.g.
onboarding, policy admin and policy servicing) would be an advantage.
Excellent knowledge and experience of the testing process
Good relationship management skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities.
Innovative having the ability to approach things differently or do different things to deliver goals.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex issues.
Good decision-making skills to be able to evaluate importance of defects found during testing, based on impact
