About the Department


Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations. We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure. Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities


As part of Financial Information Management team within Group Finance, your key responsibilities include:
  • Build on a foundation of knowledge to effectively gather, analyze and document Finance and Regulatory requirements from the Financial/Regulatory Reporting units
  • Establish collaborative relationships with Finance users and IT groups to efficiently manage change and deliver projects, from Business Requirements analysis to the transcription of coherent Functional Requirements
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, communicate requirements in a timely manner and work closely with Technology teams (and Vendors) to deliver integrated solutions that meet requirements and are operationally efficient
  • Apply project management methodologies to proactively plan, manage, test and implement
  • Effectively manage and contribute in all phases of project lifecycle, with clear documentation and timely sign-offs from all respective parties, based on project management standards
  • Plan, design, conduct User Acceptance Tests (UAT) and present results for review and endorsement of sign-off
  • Effectively escalate issues and facilitate resolution in a timely manner
  • Plan and provide Process and Functional training to users for a smooth transition into Operational BAU
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and identify areas of improvement

Job Requirements


  • Degree or equivalent in Accounting / Finance / Mathematics or its equivalent professional certification
  • At least 10 years’ working experience with minimum 5 years in the banking industry and conversant with current accounting policies and banking regulations
  • Active participation in at least 2 major projects, including systems implementation of a Finance or Risk application
  • Functional knowledge of Financial Reporting, IFRS9 and/or Basel Credit/Market Risk application systems
  • Familiarity with the Moody’s Risk Authority software for Basel Credit and/or Market Risk is a plus
  • Aptitude for systems-related work, with a good understanding of technology, data and the financial and regulatory reporting processes
  • Be a clear, confident and persuasive communicator, with excellent presentation skills and the ability to structure a coherent, logical argument
  • Results-driven team player with the ability to take initiative and multi-task
