About the Department


The Compliance function is a strategic partner and a trusted business enabler to the Board and senior management. It is our responsibility to ensure that the Group continuously fulfils its regulatory obligations in today’s tight and dynamic regulatory landscape. To do that, we work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and to assess regulatory risks. This collaboration also includes developing practical solutions that integrate regulations into operational requirements as well as actively shaping and promoting stronger compliance culture and literacy in the Bank.

Job Responsibilities


Provide critical compliance and regulatory insights to the relevant management committees. Deliver clear and relevant function-wide policies/methods in holistic and consistent manner. Enable Group Compliance sector transformation in line with industry and organizational changes, and drive enterprise-wide compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly risk reports to various Group Management Committees;
  • Drives automation projects in relation to risk reporting;
  • Monitor and report significant inspection/audit issues/operational risks, highlight key areas of concern for attention and follow up with the respective parties where required;
  • Assist in policy development and review of function-wide compliance procedures;
  • Support Head of CSG in driving GC sector transformation in line with industry and organisational changes, as well as enterprise-wide projects to drive compliance initiatives and support new business initiatives;
  • Participate in industry level (including public-private partnership) and ensure that UOB contributes/shape the new initiatives.

Job Requirements


  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience in the banking / financial services industry.
  • Good interpersonal, written, and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Dynamic individual with transformational mindset
  • Ability to multi-task and manage complex projects with numerous stakeholders, as well as deliver results within tight timelines.
