A global asset manager is strengthening their risk management capabilities. They are looking to hire an experienced investment or risk professional to join their team.

Responsibilities

A new headcount, this presents a rare and exciting opportunity for an investment/ risk professional with multi asset background, strong quantitative skills, portfolio construction and asset allocation experience to assume a risk management role. You will join a highly credible team that is responsible for the independent assessment, measurement, monitoring and development of advanced total portfolio risk management capabilities for the organisation.

In this business partner risk advisory capacity, you will be involved in providing analysis on total portfolio risk across asset classes globally. This involves developing valuation models and analytical tools to provide risk insights, assessing and monitoring investment mandates, developing complex risk framework and metrics, conducting scenario analysis and stress testing. A critical appointment, you will provide an independent and objective assessment of total portfolio risk and performance review to senior management.

Requirements

You have outstanding academic qualifications, ideally in technical/finance fields such as Applied Maths/Statistics/Applied Economics, Financial Engineering or Quantitative Finance. You have 10 - 13 years of relevant experience, ideally including an investment role, with exposure to asset allocation and portfolio construction at a global asset management firm. You possess strong knowledge of macroeconomics, asset return modelling and are well versed with portfolio optimization. A strong communicator, you are effective in presenting your views and engaging with senior stakeholders. A positive-minded, meticulous and enterprising individual, you thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
