What you do This role is for a Singapore Tax Controller (Bank).Corporate income tax (CIT)
Manage monthly tax provisions
Manage external auditors during year-end audit
Manage and review the preparation and submission of corporate tax return
Manage any tax queries raised on the Bank by the Tax Authority or another other Government Agency
Manage the incentives under the Financial Sector Incentive scheme (FSI), including filing of MAS annual declaration, renewal of FSI tax incentives
Goods and services tax (GST)
Manage the preparation of the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s GST returns
Maintain all GST audits
Assist Business/ Support Units in their GST related queries
Others
Maintain oversight of GST and withholding tax treatments advised on payments made to foreign suppliers
Ensure the all-risk requirements relating to GST and corporate tax operational procedures are documented, adhered to and tested periodically.
Continuously review and enhance tax processes to improve process efficiency
Perform role of dedicated Tax Relationship Manager to designated Business/Support Units

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accountancy, Business or Finance and/ or a member of a recognised tax practitioner association
Proven work experience as a Tax Manager in-house tax function (preferably in a Bank)
Tax qualifications will be an advantage but not mandatory.
Good understanding of MS Office (MS Excel in particular) and accounting software
In-depth knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping processes
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
A self-starter, independent and motivated staff who is comfortable dealing with Senior Management and other Business colleagues
Strong written and verbal communicator
