Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank\'s operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineering Lead to join our Digital Technology team in Singapore. As the Quality Engineering Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our digital software products throughout the development lifecycle. You will be responsible for leading a team of quality engineers and a group of representatives from cross functional teams to drive the overall quality strategy and standards for our organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software quality engineers, providing guidance, coaching, & mentorship to foster their professional growth and ensuring high quality deliverables.
• Drive a group of representatives from cross functional teams to define and implement the overall quality strategy & roadmap and establish & track quality goals & metrics.
• Work on solutions, tools, and improvement through automations to improve quality & productivity, and minimise human mistakes.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in software quality engineering, and drive their adoption within the organisation.
• Define, govern, monitor, and report on quality metrics across the defined groups of Development & QA teams, providing regular status updates to senior management and recommending & driving areas for improvement.
• Establish and maintain effective quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Support adoption of the new solutions/tools by providing trainings, job-aids to Development and QA teams.
• Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement, promoting a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential quality risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in software engineering, with a minimal 5 years of leading a team of engineers and focus on testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively motivate and guide a team of quality engineers and stakeholders across functional teams.
• Excellent negotiating and influencing skills.
• Pro-active, independent, resourceful, and strong attention to details.
• Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile development methodologies.
• Expert in implementing and maintaining automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit and/or similar. Experience in tools such as Playwright, Karate, Mockito, Jest, JBehave, Cucumber, LoadRunner, Cypress are a plus.
• Familiar with quality and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, Nexus, and Artifactory.
• Strong technical knowledge with excellent programming skills in Java and JavaScript. Knowledge in mobile development languages such as Swift/Objective-C and Android Java/Kotlin are a plus.
• Strong understanding of Micro-services & Micro Front-end architecture.
• Good experience in SQL/NoSQL with databases MongoDB, MariaDB, etc.
• Experience in one of the popular cloud environments, Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify technical issues, root causes, and propose effective solutions.
• Solid understanding of software quality metrics and the ability to track and report on key quality indicators.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
