Job Description
A leading wealth management firm is looking to hire VP Legal. You will be responsible for the folloing.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that the company\'s activities within the asset management sector comply with relevant laws and regulations, while also protecting the organization\'s interests.
- Negotiate distribution agreements, letters of understanding, selling agreements and other product distribution-related agreements with the wealth management intermediary channels and platforms.
- Engage with internal and external legal counsel throughout negotiation of agreements with wealth management intermediaries
- This role involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, advising on legal matters, and collaborating with various stakeholders, including portfolio managers, compliance officers, and senior executives.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including investment management agreements, service provider contracts, and client agreements.
- Ensure that contractual terms protect the company\'s interests while minimizing legal risks.
