As the VP of Engineering, you will play a critical role in driving organizational clarity, product development, and alignment across multiple teams, and functions to ensure the timely successful execution of key corporate programs.

To be successful in this role, you should have prior organizational leadership experience and be able to collaborate with team members, be up to date with the industry\'s best practices, and be a strategic problem-solver.

You will be tasked with building a top-notch engineering department. As a leader, you will grow, mentor, and establish better practices for the engineering teams. Your expertise will be utilized to ensure your team provides top-tier engineering design and operations that meet the desired standards.

How You Will Lead:

• Acts as a business strategist, change leader, and technical evangelist.
• Works with Executive Management to clearly understand and align IT with future growth, direction, and change.
• Develops and align IT direction, scale, and roadmap based on a clear understanding and agreed-upon path with the business strategy.
• Develops and mentors the team, providing verbal and written direction, goals, feedback, and guidance.
• Defines KPI & Metrics to enable the effective measurement of performance.
• Manages daily and annual budget, spend management, and out-of-cycle purchases.
• Manages and reports on Resource Utilization and Management
• Recommends, Develops, and supports an Architecture that creates a cost-effective, manageable solution for critical business applications.
• Ensures that the organization stays relevant by implementing Innovation Capability that evaluates and pilots emerging technologies and trends in the industry.

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/related discipline. MBA or other advanced degrees will be a plus.
• 10+ years of demonstrated success in managing a high-functioning engineering team - coaching, developing, and elevating team skill sets.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully managing ambitious, strategic, and operationally complex Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects with internal and external cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to work with both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
• Analytical, big-picture thinker with the ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing successful end-to-end lifecycle of technical projects.
• Strong technical aptitude and knowledge.
• Must be coming from a technology company.
• Experience in start-ups will be an advantage.
