About the Department
Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.
We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.
Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities

• The Banking Operations Policy and Advisory team plays a lead role in the risk and controls policy setting of Banking Operations for major products and services across the Group.
• Formulate uniform baseline controls operating standards and harmonise policy and/or regulatory requirements with other lines of defence and establish guidance.
• Maintain, develop new or enhance existing policies and guidelines to ensure appropriateness and adequacy against industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and advisory on banking operations policies and guidelines across subsidiaries and Business/Support units stakeholders.
• Track and monitor and ensure proper closures on policy deviation / issues identified.
• Develop and implement group-wide Banking Operations awareness program and training for education and awareness.
• Participate in providing advice for projects or undertake any other ad-hoc projects assigned.
• Keep abreast of new / development to regional regulations & laws, emerging risk trend/focus and policies impacting the Group.

Job Requirements
Skills and Experience

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in Risk Governance and Management, Compliance, Financial Control, Product Control, or Operations functions of a financial services institution.
• Familiar with Banking Operations controls and Banking Regulations.
• Self-motivated and independent with high-level of integrity and resourcefulness creative, well organised and detail oriented, able to work under pressure.
• Able to multi-task, dedicated, dependable, strong leader and a good team player
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Education

• Minimum a recognised degree in relevant field.
