Job Responsibilities

The Global Fixed Income Team is looking to hire an Assistant Portfolio Manager/ Credit Analyst covering high grade corporate portfolios, focusing mainly on US and Asia/EM .

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the management of Investment Grade global portfolios in accordance with the investment mandates
  • Participating in meetings with clients to provide regular updates on investment performance and outlook and portfolio strategies
  • Performing detailed bottom- up credit analysis on companies under the individual\'s coverage and providing updates and investment recommendations to a broad range of client portfolios
  • Liaising with stakeholders on all credit review/ submission matters
Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a fundamental and quantitative orientation. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
  • Have a basic understanding of fixed income portfolio construction and management
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of corporate analysis i.e. the methodology and thought process that all credit analysts should go through in making a credit decision.
  • \xe2\x80\xa2Identify and analyze the important factors for different companies and the sectors they are in, and make a credit decision.
  • \xe2\x80\xa2Build spreadsheet models, financial risk analysis, cash flow forecasting and financial ratios to determine a company\'s creditworthiness.
  • \xe2\x80\xa2Be responsible for providing industry, company, financial and valuation analysis to support your investment recommendations.
Job Requirements
  • Numerate and analytical
  • Proficiency in IT tools and application such as Excel, Bloomberg
  • Ability to understand and interpret various programming languages such as R, Python is dsirable
  • Keen interest to provide investment recommendations with conviction, supported by rigorous analysis
  • Motivated to learn and have a keen interest to stay updated with financial and economic news to keep up with economic trends, opportunities, potential risks and investment opportunities.
  • Prepared to work under tight deadlines.
  • A team player, committed to learn and adapt to changes and willing to take on added responsibilities as and when the need arises.
