About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations. We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.

Group Wholesale Banking and Market Operations provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, possess EQ & Empathy to inspire and drive positive changes with outcome focus mindset.
  • Drive innovation and a continuous improvement culture to achieve elevated efficiency and productivity across all teams in the operations center.
  • Work closely with the teams to analyze, design, model and map processes.
  • Manage the process end-to-end, with project plans and project milestone, from ideation to successful implementation, covering full operational readiness scope, risks and controls management, communication and training to all stakeholders, documentation such as Process Flow charts/SOPs; etc \xe2\x80\xa6,
  • Build up a strong knowledge of the operating processes and procedures and keep up to date on UOB banking Ops Policy and Regulatory so as to ensure that all implementations can meet audit standards.
  • Conduct training on process re-engineering principles, methodology and artifacts to build a culture of continuous improvement and to equip all team members with the tools and skills sets for their regular usage.
  • Setup and maintain a Knowledge Centre library of projects, initiatives, training materials, case studies for learning and sharing made accessible to all staff.
  • Able to communicate effectively and get buy-ins from all stakeholders, including the operations team managers and their members for an effective "hearts and minds" implement
  • Compile and publish monthly metricstation.
Job Requirements
  • The candidate must have at least 7 years of experience as a 6 Sigma Black Belt leading process re-engineering and change management in operations. Specific work experience in Cash Management operations would be an advantage.
  • Strong process modelling, analysis, and design with ability to effectively use applicable tools and software, including but not limited to MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Visio (or other equivalent process mapping tools).
  • Good understanding on the application of all the tools used in 6 Sigma methodology.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and management skills
