About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.

We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.

Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities

This role will be part of the Wholesale Operational Readiness Centre that supports Loans Operations Centers, with effective implementation of Technology changes, reviewing Requirements from End User perspective, and ensure implementation through effective Testing, Training and Documentation.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Lead a small team to provide operational readiness support for technology changes to business and operation users
  • Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback on proposed solution
  • Participate in Functional Specs document review to ensure functional requirements meet business and/ or operations needs
  • Assess operational impact and ensure operations requirements are included in the Functional Specs document
  • Define areas of High Risk in collaboration with the operations and/ or business users.
  • Define areas of High Business Values in collaboration with the operations and/ or business users.
  • Assign risk weightage to requirements
  • Engage business and operations users to prepare UAT scenarios
  • Establish bi-directional traceability for requirements and test cases
  • Review UAT test cases and test results
  • Publish test metrics
  • Ensure training on new system/ enhancement is conducted to impacted operations users
  • Prepare target operating model document to help Operations update their operating procedures
  • Provide post-implementation support to operations users
  • Review and submit management reports
  • Identify potential modules for automation
  • Prioritize Test Case design and execution in TOSCA
  • Learn and master TOSCA tool which is a software testing tool used at UOB to design test cases and automate end to end testing
  • Create test scenarios in TOSCA for test teams
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree preferably in Banking, Computing Science, Data Analytics, or Finance
  • Project management experience
  • Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in Banking industry performing Systems/Business Analysis work
  • Banking Operations experience with understanding of Banking products, specifics to Loans, Credit administration and Control preferred
  • Experience in end-to End Core Banking operations, system support; Treasury and/or Finance.
  • Proactive and resourceful in finding solutions
  • Able to work independently, able to manage stakeholders at all levels - running workshops, training and for operational readiness
  • Experience in managing small teams
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in Data Analytics Tool like OneSumx, Lombard Risk, Axioms, QlikView for regulatory reporting, or experience in regulatory reporting projects are added advantage.
  • Other relevant skills: Project Management, Agile, understanding of SDLC on role of Testing
