Job Summary:
The Transformation Lead for Regional Trade will lead a team to manage projects and initiatives to improve Trade Finance processing, ensuring the solution is efficient and effective as aligned with DBS's strategic objectives. This role requires a good understanding of Trade products, processes, and regulatory requirements. Supported by a team of Subject Matter Experts and Testers to implement initiatives to streamline processing and support the business outcomes from initiation, designing, planning, execution, and ensure streamlined operationalization. This team will collaborate with stakeholders across various departments, including Operations, GTS, Technology, Compliance from all markets.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Regional trade operations project team to manage the project lifecycle for trade operations, including collaborate with GTS, Ops, tech and all stakeholders to prioritize project deliveries, tracking critical project milestones.
  • Embed the use of digital tools, generative AI, and new technologies to automate the processing and achieving efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Able to handle multiple projects concurrently, proactively identifying critical path, risk and mitigation plan.
  • Lead review sessions with users and stakeholders, ability to articulate and document user requirements, conducts trainings and operationalization plan.
  • Working with all stakeholders in different markets across the region to design process improvements and streamline processing.
  • Lead and manage proper operation and innovation change management and drive operational efficiency and customer experience improvements in the delivery of the projects.
  • Conduct Post implementation review with users and stakeholders and resolve issues in a timely manner. Continuously gathering feedback with users and project teams for improvements.
  • Lead the regional testing team to conduct UAT and regression for trade project initiatives. Responsible for the quality of the testing is satisfactory and complete.
  • Oversee and govern projects execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Monitor project progress, ringfence risk and challenges, and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage, guide and mentor project/squad team members and stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience and understanding in trade finance operations, with a focus on project management.
  • Strong understanding of trade finance products.
  • Strong people management skillsets, able to lead a team to run projects and manage testing effectively
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications.
