About the Department
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the organization in developing, operating and managing large and sophisticated enterprise system environments, with a primary responsibility of Middleware operational (Run) support.
  • The role currently provides a 24/7 support operation. On-call shifts will be scheduled on a rotational basis.
  • Ensure middleware product availability, performance & patch compliance in accordance to bank standards
  • Act as Subject Matter expert for Middleware administrators, providing guidance for efforts including incident and problem management
  • Automating team's manual work through scripting automation
  • Driving productivity, recommending improvements, remediation and operational excellence using quality methodologies to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provides hands on technical expertise, provides senior level technical guidance to staff, application team and other teams as necessary.
  • Resolving complex issues involving: performance, capacity, resiliency, stability, and other key aspects of WebLogic, WebSphere, Red Hat JBoss EAP and IBM MQ.
  • Researching and recommending solutions that best meet business needs and enterprise operational requirements
  • Provide technical support to application development teams
  • Point of contact to vendor support
  • Evaluate releases of Middleware products and its tools
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery exercise
  • Database capacity planning and resource management
  • Define Middleware Monitoring / Alert thresholds
  • Provide feedback for continuous improvement
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in Middleware administration with at least 5 years in a senior role.
  • Strong Middleware Application Server and Web Server knowledge. 10 years of experience supporting at least two of following products: IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, Red Hat JBoss EAP and IBM MQ.
  • In-depth understanding of application security and SSL certificates
  • Strong background in dealing with application development teams and principal vendors
  • Must have working experience & knowledge on ITIL Processes for IT service management (ITSM) to manage Incidents and problem tasks.
  • Unix/Linux Operating System background with shell scripting required
  • Experience working in banking industry is a plus.
  • Experience in RedHat Openshift is a plus.
  • Customer focused, business driven, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong networks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
