Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank\'s operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Key Accountabilities

The role is responsible for supporting multiple and concurrent project and program initiatives across Core Banking transformation with their infrastructure provisioning and support requirements. This role services a growing and highly skilled multi-disciplined engineering team that delivers technology solution for the Consumer Banking business regionally.The role will be multi-faceted and requires a candidate who can work in a high pressure, high demand environment with multiple, often conflicting priority initiatives which will require hands-on delivery, decision making and stakeholder management.

Requirements

  • Reporting into the PMO Lead, this role will be the single point of contact to support infrastructure requirements for multiple programs and projects across Core Banking.
  • To work with Program Directors, Project Managers, ScrumMasters and Tribe Leads (Country Tribe, Delivery Tribes) to understand their respective and unique infrastructure requirements across the end-to-end lifecycle.
  • Previous experience in working in Banking Financial Services and Insurances desirable
  • Hands-on previous experience with COTS enterprise software development desirable
  • Actively manage infrastructure provisioning, sourcing, management and delivery
  • Proactively liaise with multiple internal stakeholders and manage multiple priorities
  • Internal and external vendor management with interface and liaise with Production Support
  • Actively report out on resource requisition and ongoing pro-active management
  • Prior experience in Release Management in a Large Enterprise Organisation desirable
  • Prior experience in Solution Design coordination with Engineering and Testing Leads
  • Deep experience to use JIRA and Confluence for pipeline and release management

  • Actively work with and manage a wide range of stakeholders in the business, technology and where required outside the bank, to deliver the project to agreed parameters
  • Actively manage project conflicts, dependencies, changes to scope, cost or schedule, risks and issues, and ensure plans are in place to mitigate them with urgency, and communicate these to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Deal with all project related escalations, and seek input and assistance from appropriate channels to resolve these in a timely manner
  • Make or facilitate the making of decisions in a timely manner
  • Actively monitor and report progress to all stakeholders in a timely manner by using a variety of formal and informal communication channels
Responsibilities
  • Proven track record of delivering projects to agreed project parameters, preferably within financial services organisations
  • Proven capability of leading teams across sites and geographies
  • Proven experience of working with business and technology stakeholders across all levels to achieve successful outcomes
  • Significant and solid project management experience using Agile methodology in enterprise
  • Experience the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), such as applications analysis, design, development, testing and deployment.
  • Experience in managing project implementations and relevant project experience in a banking environment is an advantage.
  • Previous vendor management experience is necessary.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work in teams and manage multiple enhancements at the same time.
