Maintain and oversee sectoral climate models, including collation of input data (from internal as well as external sources), running of models, analysis of model outcomes and presentation of results to internal stakeholders
Collaborate with internal stakeholders on the development and utilisation of ESG-oriented data systems and tools
Lead the initiatives involving exploration and analysis of data across various data platforms
Devise and implement procedures for ESG data collection to ensure adequacy and legitimacy of data
Apply problem-solving and data analysis skills to identify innovative workflow efficiencies and implement technology solutions to enhance processes and overall strategy
Extract and analyse ESG data for various sustainability reporting, e.g. Sustainability Review, NZBA reporting, Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures, Equator Principles, and Green Investment Principles for the Belt and Road Initiative.
Develop insights and predict trends based on our data models
Sustainable Business Enabler
Conduct research on sustainability topics, including climate risk, sectoral GHG emissions, biodiversity, environmental and social practices in the region and internationally, to name a few;
Offer guidance to relationship managers, credit teams and customers on ESG risks, especially on climate risks, and contribute to the development and structuring of sustainable finance solutions or risk mitigating plans to enhance the overall risk profile of a transaction; and
Develop, coordinate and deliver ESG-relevant training.
Experience/Quality
Suitable candidates:
Should have at least 8 years\' experience in developing and managing ESG data platforms, including familiarity with publicly available ESG data sources, structure, format and integrability.
Strong working knowledge of best practice sustainability standards and frameworks (such as the GRI Standards, PCAF, SASB, TCFD)
Good understanding of current and emerging sustainability-related regulatory requirements (such as human rights due diligence, climate change risk management, etc). Should have the ability to strategically navigate and interconnect digitalisation processes.
Possess professional and interpersonal skills to establish good rapport and working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficient in project management, be able to multi-task and manage data systems
Be proactive in communication and stakeholder engagement
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s or advanced degrees in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Data Science are preferred.
Strong analytical and due diligence mindset.
Demonstrated experience in data analytics/business intelligence applications (such as QlikSense or Tableau) and programming languages (such as Excel, SQL, Python, VBA, MATLAB or Regex)
