The role is responsible for the growth and development of the Financial Institutions business in Southeast Asia (SEA). This would entail the development and execution of the FI business strategy in APAC while working in close collaboration with local, regional and global product partners.
Business development
Taking an active role to:
establish and maintain a clearly articulated strategy for the growth of the FI business in SEA. It is expected that this strategy should be updated at least annually.
Identify resource / product capability requirements needed to grow the business and preparing appropriate business plans to support the investment into additional resources / product capabilities in Singapore
Support the development of onshore and offshore development capabilities to support needs of FI SEA clients.
The NBFI segment is identified as a key growth area for FI APAC and the role would be responsible for developing the NBFI growth strategy in close cooperation with the other NBFI coverage colleagues. This would involve close collaboration with the FM team across various regions.
Relationship Management
Working as a Global Relationship Banker & FI Relationship Manager to develop, broaden and grow profitable long-term relationships with key FI clients in SEA
Manage counterparty limits for the existing clients during the Financial Sector review and additional limit requirements in alignment with relevant product stakeholders
Support network businesses for overseas FIs operating in Singapore
Compliance
Adhere to all ING policies and complete all mandatory training requirements. Maintain an open and transparent culture by reporting all incidents.
RESPONSABILITIES:
Business Development and execution (20%)
Providing strong analytical insights on the FI market in SEA and identifying key areas of opportunity
Execution of FI business strategy in SEA
Origination and Relationship Management (40%)
Create, develop and manage and develop relationships with FI clients working in close collaboration with product partners and across sectors
Deal origination with the focus on generating ROE accretive business for the organization
Regular client meetings, calls and follow up on business opportunities, prompt resolution of client queries in coordination with the relevant product areas and ING offices.
Monitor and manage client profitability and the achievement of objectives.
Keep detailed client overviews (briefing notes) and ensure accounts plans are up-to-date.
Deepen understanding of clients\xe2\x80\x99 business activities
Familiarity with all relevant ING software and databases.
Active contribution to ING Commercial Excellence programmes and projects
Business Support (40%)
KYC and Non-Financial Risk responsibilities for his/her portfolio of clients
MAJOR CHALLENGES:
The need to build a strong understanding of the global ING network and to build strong relationships with key product stakeholders and other sector partners in different geographies
Ensuring compliance with KYC requirements and close hands-on management of extremely time sensitive remediation processes
Management of extremely wide and geographical spread out virtual client teams.
