Strategic AdvisoryThe team renders advice to corporate clients in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, divestments, capital structure optimisation and restructurings. We serve clients in the digital economy as well as in traditional industries, and we advise companies as they transform business models to address tech disruption and economic evolution.DBS has an expansive network of corporate clients in Asia, therefore we connect and advise large businesses, mid-cap enterprises, financial sponsors and sovereign wealth funds as they pursue their growth plans and business objectives.Fulfilling the role of SVP will entail: * Sustaining advisory relationships with decision-makers through strategic dialogue, in one or more industry sectors of focus.

  • Serving as trusted adviser to clients as they fulfil strategic objectives and undertake complex transactions.
  • Identifying and developing deal leads to secure advisory roles for DBS.
Fulfilling the role of VP will entail: * Conceptualising and delivering M&A solutions to clients, in collaboration with the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s relationship managers responsible for industry coverage.
  • Project leadership of M&A transaction workstreams, including outreach to prospective bidders, financial analysis, valuation, structuring, negotiations, regulatory clearance and stakeholder engagement.
Essential Responsibilities for both SVP and VP roles * Adhere to the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s policies for risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements applicable to transactions undertaken within the relevant jurisdictions.
  • Mentoring junior team members, coaching them to build skill sets and supporting their career pathways.
Requirements * Bachelor\'s or higher degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related disciplines from a reputable university
  • Investment banking experience \xe2\x80\x93 at least seven years in the case of VP and at least nine years in the case of SVP
  • Client relationships at C-suite and /or with business founders and controlling shareholders
  • Proven record of leading buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, public takeovers, restructurings and capital raises from strategic or financial investors
  • Experience in real estate, renewable energy and/or infrastructure sectors will be an advantage
  • Agility to multi-task in a fast-paced deal environment
  • Team player with willingness to share knowledge and best practices
  • Project leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Collaborative and demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues across cultures and countries
