Warehouse Assistant (Tally Clerk)

• Working Days: 5.5 days

• Shift 1 (Perm): 7.30am - 3.15pm (Mon - Fri) 7.30am - 12.45pm (Sat)
• Shift 2 (Perm): 3pm - 10.45pm (Mon-Fri) 12.45pm - 6pm (Sat)
• Working location: Tuas South (Transportation provided at Tuas West Road MRT)
• Overtime: Must be able to commit overtime although OT is largely dependable on operational requirement
• Salary: $2,100 - $2,500 + OT + Allowances + AWS + VB

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise the loading, off-loading of goods from shipping containers and stacking of the goods in the receiving and dispatching area.
• Tally all goods and match them with shipping invoices and packing orders to ensure the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Make appropriate remarks on the consignor\'s documents and tally sheet when differences are observed between consigned and received quantities.
• Report any anomalies or damaged goods.
• Undertake re-packing, reconstitution, and segregation of damaged goods
• Update all commodity receipts, issues, and disposal on the warehouse\'s inventory system.
• Supervise cleaning exercise after loading & off-loading and reconstitution exercise when required
• Perform inventory checks.
• Monitor casual workers to avoid or reduce pilferage.
• Observe warehouse house-keeping & safety measures.

Qualifications

• Excellent mathematical skills with ability to work under pressure
• Able to handle a large volume of items in a well-organized manner under time constraints
• Maintaining accurate and precise records
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Identify and escalate shipment discrepancies
• Manual lifting required (goods up to 15kg)
