A newly created Warehouse Manager - Bonded Warehouse, East job has opened up at one of the international freight and goods distributors based in the East. The company stores, distributes, and specially delivers high-value items from clients worldwide. This role manages a bonded warehouse operation.

About the Warehouse Manager - Bonded Warehouse, East Role:
You will support the General Manager in the daily operation of a bonded warehouse. You will also ensure an efficiently running storage and distribution centre, while giving direction and guidance to teams on-site on best practices and standard operating procedures. This includes being compliant to applicable rules and restrictions. This is managerial position with an operations team to manage. You will need to handle high-level clients that will often come to view their items.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and direction to the rest of operations team on-site in collaboration with the General Manager
• Apply for licenses and required certifications by the customers
• Provide support in preparing for monthly rosters to maintain staff availability, especially during weekends and peak periods e.g. Christmas
• Devise new standard operating procedures and implement them in an initiative to always continuously improve the warehouse operation
• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and security standards to safeguard assets and mitigate risks
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to secure necessary resources and maintain an efficient storage and distribution operation.

To be successful in this Warehouse Manager - Bonded Warehouse, East role, you will need to have prior exposure to managing a logistics operations in a bonded warehouse with 0% GST goods.

Key Requirements:

• A formal degree in business or logistics is preferred
• At least five years\' experience in a logistics operation and proven leadership experience
• Any experience handling a zero-rated supply (0% GST) goods is a plus or a bonded warehouse operation is a must
• Prior experience using WMS
• Excellent planning and communication skills in English to all stakeholders combined with a positive attitude. Some of the stakeholders will be high-level clients
