Water Quality Technologist, 6 Months Contract
Job Description
What the role is:In the Water Quality Department, you will work with a team to ensure good raw water quality for water treatment.What you will be working on:Your main roles and responsibilities would include but not limited to: 1. To perform sample tests for water quality surrogate parameters to support PUB\'s daily operation, eg. TON and solid related parameters (TDS, TSS, TVS, TS, etc.) 2. To operate the automatic preservative system which include preparation and addition of chemical preservative into sampling bottles daily 3. To update analytical results in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) 4. To maintain laboratory safety as safety officer in Analytical Chemistry Lab 5. To manage the chemical waste disposal contract 6. To assist in other procurement workWhat we are looking for:
- Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering or related field \xe2\x80\xa2 Basic knowledge of chemical analysis \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in IT \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in analytical laboratory will be an advantage.
