Job Description


Principal Responsibilities

  • Business development/ new fiduciary business: Partner with JPM Bankers, Wealth Advisors, Centers of Influence, clients and their advisors to structure, assess and develop new fiduciary business
    • Work with Asia Wealth Advisors and Market Managers to understand trust needs/issues and develop appropriate solutions
    • Arrange/conduct presentations to clients, clients' advisors, COIs and JPM colleagues to market suitable ITS products, with a focus on the Singapore trust company's services
    • Proactively collaborate with JPM Bankers, Wealth Advisors and clients' advisors to review proposed fiduciary solutions and review draft trust instruments, including assessing potential fiduciary risk and suggesting appropriate risk mitigation
    • The Business Development Executive will need to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in the International Private Bank, and to develop and execute a growth strategy for the ITS business aligned with the goals of the International Private Bank
    • Develop and agree metrics for the acquisition of new ITS business
  • Existing fiduciary business: Partner with Bankers , Wealth Advisors, Clients and their advisors to retain and deepen existing trust relationships as appropriate
  • New business Review and Approval: partner with the New Business onboarding team to ensure a smooth and timely booking of new business acquired.
    • Serve as technical resource to resolve specific issues in respect of existing trust structures, restructuring exercises, or complex fiduciary administration issues
  • Training: Participate in the JPM Group's training agenda to enhance the fiduciary knowledge of JPM colleagues
    • Develop and deliver training on ITS products and services to JPM Bankers and Wealth Advisors
Required qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 years' of fiduciary experience with a proven track record of securing new trust business
  • Bachelor degree / equivalent
  • In depth knowledge of trust law and legal/regulatory requirements affecting international fiduciary locations
  • The ability to evaluate and propose effective structuring solutions
  • The ability to assess fiduciary risks to make appropriate business decisions
  • Experience with cross-border tax and planning issues
  • Knowledge of investment and credit products and services
