Job Description


What the role is:You will be working with the Service Excellence Office (SEO), Information Technology Division (ITD), and Communications & Engagement Division (CED) under the Ministry of Law (MinLaw) to review and redesign the MinLaw website and specific e-services. The objective is to conceptualise and develop a citizen-centric user experience to cater to visitors of the MinLaw website and members of the public who require MinLaw\'s services. The revamped website is aimed to nudge members of the public towards self-help through easy navigation of information and e-services on our website and microsites that are relevant to them.What you will be working on:You will also be required to work closely with the respective MinLaw Divisions with public facing functions to understand their operations and the related interactions with the public. Thereafter, you are expected to incorporate these considerations in designing a user-centric flow for the website, including proposing edits to the textual contents where applicable. You may also be tasked to work with third-party vendors to develop relevant tools to support the website and enhance the e-services experience. You must be a self-starter and able to collaborate with others by scheduling and facilitating discussions/meetings with relevant stakeholders to clarify their intent and make strategic design and user-experience decisions, in consultation with SEO (including ITD and CED where necessary) to translate requirements into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes of the website, e-services and tools for execution.What we are looking for:Key Competencies

  • [Customer Experience and Service Design] Understand different customer segments (e.g. characteristics, behaviours and needs) and design services around customer journey and experience.
  • [Customer Service and Case Management] Effectively deliver services, coordinate and manage service cases, from the start of service requests to their resolution, including resolving service challenges and performing service recovery where needed
Personal Traits / Work Experience]
  • Have tertiary qualification, preferably with at least 2 years\' hands-on experience in UX and UI design, including the preparation and design of user flow, storyboarding, wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Familiarity with ISOMER (https://www.developer.tech.gov.sg/products/overview.html) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication (written and spoken) and facilitation skills to clearly communicate and explain design decisions/trade-offs to stakeholders.
  • A keen interest in leveraging on digital technology to deliver services.
  • Submit a portfolio of your past website and/or digital design projects, if applicable.
