:

You will be in a senior leadership role that reports directly to the APAC Head of Wholesale Lending Services and will be responsible for leading a sizeable lending services organization that manages a broad spectrum of responsibilities including transaction coordination, deal set-up, funding and loan servicing, loan agency and secondary loan trading.

Position Overview

J.P. Morgan is comprised of four business segments, Consumer & Community Banking, Commercial Banking, Corporate & Investment Bank and Asset & Wealth Management. Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) exists within Commercial Banking and provides loan servicing functions to all four JPMorgan lines of business.

APAC Wholesale Lending Services Middle Office (WLS MO) provides end to end execution on lending services to multiple line of business across Commercial Banking and Corporate Investment Banking. Services provided include credit document execution, loan origination, loan agency, servicing support for loans and secondary loan trading support. Services are tailored to the needs of clients and line of business, ranging from bilateral to syndication.

Job responsibilities:

  • Leading core production teams responsible for Transaction Coordination, Deal Set-up/Funding and Loan Servicing, Loan Agency and Secondary Loan Trading
  • Act as senior lead overseeing teams responsible for operational facets of bilateral and syndicated deal & facility management, loan booking, accounting, loan agency and investor syndicate management for traditional credit & loan products
  • Building and cultivating strong relationships with different lines of business and stakeholders across the firm, operating as an ambassador for Wholesale Lending Services more broadly
  • Responsible for overall productivity and quality of the Production teams, acting as senior point of contact for business segment heads, Credit Risk, Legal and other key business partners
  • Maintaining strong oversight of the risk & control environment; representing Wholesale Lending Services in various firm-wide risk forums, audit cycles, and operation risk deep dives where critical decisions are driven by quantitative and qualitative data
  • Creating a culture of continued process improvement by identifying and driving implementation of technology initiatives and operational process changes to meet the requirement of the wholesale lending business and clients
  • Partner with Centre for Enablement team to drive meaningful and strategic change such as process improvements, re-imagine workflow, product governance, client experience enhancements, tools and reporting mechanisms in a dynamic manner while ensuring execution of efficiency initiative
  • Participate in project proposals, group objectives, regional discussions; drive strategic direction and vision of the group
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Bachelors\' degree
  • Minimum 10 years\' Financial Services experience
  • Outstanding leadership qualities with experience developing high-performance teams through continuous training and dynamic coaching
  • Strong decision-making capabilities and the ability to identify problems and propose solutions. Exhibits initiative to raise issues to appropriate/relevant parties when needed
  • Strong organizational, presentation and communication skills, relationship building skills both with team members and business partners, with the ability to influence, drive and implement change across teams and interact confidently with all levels of stakeholders
  • Acute awareness of operational risks occurring throughout the lending lifecycle
  • Results driven; ability to lead/drive execution; methodical approach to identifying and solving issues
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to accept new assignments and challenges in a rapidly changing environment
Preferred Qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Demonstrable success at transforming and/or building Operations and Middle Office teams
  • Good level awareness of Corporate Banking and its products. A sound knowledge of credit policies and credit systems would be a distinct added advantage
  • Knowledge of Loan IQ will be an advantage
  • Facility documentation knowledge an advantage
