Team Leadership: Leading a team of WINTEL Engineers, including system administrators and engineers, to ensure the smooth operation of Windows-based systems and hardware.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrating expertise in Windows operating systems, including Windows Server and Windows Desktop, as well as Intel architecture, to troubleshoot issues and provide guidance.
Security and Compliance: Ensuring that Windows-based systems and Intel hardware adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements, including patch management and vulnerability assessments.
Capacity Planning: Assessing and planning for the scalability and performance of Windows-based systems and Intel hardware to meet organizational needs.
Vendor Management: Collaborating with hardware and software vendors to procure and maintain Windows-compatible hardware and software solutions.
Technical Support: Providing technical support to end-users and resolving escalated technical issues related to Windows and Intel-based systems.
Documentation: Maintaining documentation of configurations, procedures, and policies related to Windows and Intel infrastructure.
Upgrades and Migrations: Planning and executing upgrades, migrations, and hardware refresh cycles to ensure systems remain up-to-date and efficient.
Disaster Recovery: Developing and implementing disaster recovery plans and backup strategies for Windows-based systems and Intel hardware.
Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to Windows and Intel hardware and providing guidance to team members.
Performance Optimization: Optimizing the performance of Windows-based servers and workstations and Intel hardware through tuning and monitoring.
Training and Development: Mentoring and training team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in Windows and Intel technologies.
Adherence to ITIL/ITSM Practices: Following ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) or ITSM (IT Service Management) best practices for IT service delivery and support.
Requirements
Degree/Diploma in IT with 2-3 years relevant experience
Should be minimally Microsoft certified system engineer.
Certifications in Microsoft Servers/Wintel
Preferably WOG experience
Flexible with 24 x 7 support and 12 hours shift work
Shortlisted candidates will be offered a 1 Year agency contract employment.
