Position Summary:



The Wok 2 Chef plays a critical supporting role in the kitchen, working alongside the Head Chef to ensure efficient cooking and timely preparation of Chinese wok dishes. This role focuses on maintaining consistency in food quality, speed, cleanliness, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards. The Wok 2 Chef must be highly adaptable, demonstrate strong culinary skills, and embody the company's core values through teamwork, discipline, and a passion for continuous learning.





Key Responsibilities:



Assist Head Chef in cooking and plating high-volume wok dishes with speed and precision. Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines strictly. Ensure wok station cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and preparation of dishes and ingredients before the beginning of service. Monitor food temperatures and freshness to meet food safety standards. Practice portion control and minimize food waste. Assist in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies. Collaborate with kitchen assistants and other cooks to support kitchen flow. Report on any equipment or food safety issues to the Head Chef immediately.

Requirements:



Minimum 3 years of experience in Chinese and / or Seafood Restaurant kitchen wok station. Training will be provided. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen. Strong understanding of wok techniques, heat control, and food timing. Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety protocols. Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods. * Able to work 10 hours shift (6 days work week), weekends, and public holidays.
