Job Requirements : * Registered WSH Officer with MOM & also registered ECO with NEA (Industrial, Construction & building related field only) * At least 5 to 10 years as WSHO in the construction Job Requirements : Registered WSH Officer with MOM & also registered ECO with NEA (Industrial, Construction & building related field only) At least 5 to 10 years as WSHO in the construction industry representing main contractors Experience in construction industry and familiar with local legal requirements : Developing & implementation of safety management system. To inspect the worksite for safety Assist in the investigations of accidents and dangerous occurrences. Liaise closely with site team on workplace safety, health and environmental issues to maintain high level of safety and housekeeping at site Organise activities to promote safety awareness To advise the contractor on safety measures and implement these measures upon approval. Provide adequate budget for safety and health in the contract. To communicate to the contractor aspects of his designs that has peculiar or major risks. Conducts regular safety audits for departments including the inspection of facilities, worksites, equipment, work practices, and safety devices to ensure compliance with required workplace safety standards, regulations, and policy reports findings and recommends changes to establish safe work conditions. Coordinates plans, and implements the actions and recommendations to the Safety Committee provides technical assistance and advice to the Committee. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports maintains proper documentation to confirm to record-keeping requirements ISO, OSHA. To serve as safety consultant on construction and planning projects conducts workplace or site assessments and reviews work activities such as trenching that require permits to ensure safe performance reviews safety program of contractors periodically performs site inspections as needed to ensure safety of construction sites. Develops and provides individual counselling, and on-site and classroom training to staff on safety topics such as ergonomics, driving safety, personal protective equipment, and lifting/back safety provides training to departmental safety coordinators on safety practices and policies, accident prevention techniques, and accident reporting coordinates the keeping of records of safety training. May represent the Risk Management Division before community groups or official government bodies to discuss or present Safety policies or to testify about specific incidents. You will also be required to prepare policies and procedures for the company's health and safety programme, which must meet quality and certification in ISO. Ensure all documentation meet ISO/Quality standards. Responsible for internal and external audits, ensuring they carried out on a basis which confirms system integrity.
