Director, Enterprise Solutions Unit / Client Stakeholder
Role Overview:
The Workday AMS Technical Lead having minimum of 10+ years of IT experience with 8+ yrs into HCM /Workday or equivalent HCM landscape. Candidate should be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Application Management Services (AMS) for Workday HCM at the client site in Singapore and should be able to do Technical/Functional work as demand by the project scope/responsibilities.
This role will lead a team delivering L2 and L3 support across all major Workday modules, ensuring operational excellence, continuous improvement, and alignment with business objectives. The AMS Lead will act as the primary point of contact for the client, driving service delivery, innovation, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Delivery & Operations
+ Lead and manage the Workday AMS team, ensuring timely and effective L2/L3 support for Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Recruitment, Onboarding/Offboarding, Payroll Interfaces, Talent/Performance/Succession, Advanced Compensation, Adaptive Insights (Workforce Planning), and Security & Reporting.
+ Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes, ensuring SLAs are met and service quality is maintained.
+ Drive root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and proactive issue prevention.
+ Manage Workday release updates, tenant configuration, and integration enhancements.
+ Ensure compliance with audit, security, and data privacy requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Management
+ Serve as the primary AMS point of contact for the client, building strong relationships with HR, IT, and business stakeholders.
+ Conduct regular service reviews, present performance metrics, and propose value-added initiatives.
+ Collaborate with client teams to understand evolving business needs and translate them into actionable AMS plans.
Team Leadership & Development
+ Mentor, coach, and develop AMS team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
+ Coordinate with offshore and onshore teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Innovation & Best Practices
+ Identify and implement automation, AI/ML, and process optimization opportunities within Workday AMS.
+ Stay updated on Workday product innovations and industry trends; recommend adoption where relevant.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, HRIS, or related field.
10+ years of experience in Workday HCM, with at least 3 years in an AMS leadership role.
Proven expertise across multiple Workday modules: Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Recruitment, Onboarding, Payroll Interfaces, Talent/Performance, Advanced Compensation, Adaptive Insights, Security & Reporting.
Strong understanding of L2/L3 application support processes, incident management, and ITIL frameworks.
Experience managing Workday integrations, release management, and tenant configuration.
Excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Workday certification(s) preferred.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience with global HR operations and compliance in APAC, especially Singapore.
Exposure to automation, AI/ML, or analytics in HR technology.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
