Job Description

• Responsible for all aspects of Quality, Workplace, Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental issues.

• Conduct daily safety inspections and submit the Safety Inspection Checklist / Reports with actions taken for deficiencies.

• Ensure all workers, including all its subcontractors, work activities on this project work site are carried out safely and in compliance to Requirements, the Project WSHE Plan and all in-house rules, regulations and procedures.

• The Risk Assessments (RA) & Safe Work Procedures (SWP) approved for the tasks.

• Ensure that no work is carried out without a valid Permit to Work.

• Check and ensure that only trained and competent personnel are appointed or assigned to manage, supervise and perform the contractor\xe2\x80\x99s work activities on site.

• Rectify all issues brought to attention such as hazards, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and environmental non-compliances, created or caused by the contractor\xe2\x80\x99s and its subcontractors\xe2\x80\x99 activities, in a prompt and timely manner to the satisfaction.

• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and RA & SWP briefings for work personnel and keep proper attendance / briefing records.

• Investigation and Report all hazards, near misses, dangerous occurrences, incidents, accidents and injuries IMMEDIATELY to company.

• Implement and enforce appropriate disciplinary actions and penalties to deal with persistent non-compliance parties.

• Ensure proper barricading and housekeeping are maintained at all times in the contractor\xe2\x80\x99s works and storage areas.

• Attend WSH related Meetings, Weekly Safety Walks etc. as required department.

• Ensure proper communication and coordination among other work contractors and safety personnel to facilitate the smooth and safe conduct of all work activities.

• Advice and implement procedures or measure as necessary to improve the contractor\xe2\x80\x99s WSHE performance.

• Update, maintain and submit all safety related records as per statutory.

• Ensure all workers are issued with the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and regularly check their PPE to ensure they are fit for use and/or not expired.

• Ensure all Method Statement/ Risk Assessment/ Safe Work Procedures has been briefed to all level of workers before they start work.

• Responsible and prepare for QEHS Management System and carry out the duties accordance with Policy, Manual, Procedure, Safe Work Procedure and Method Statement.

• Responsible for all others related or ad-hoc duties as and when directed.
