Implement and coordinate safety awareness programs, training, and initiatives to promote a safe working environment.
Assist the Safety Officer / Project Manager in investigating incidents and recommending corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations and enforce safety standards on-site.
Liaise with project stakeholders including clients, main contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities on all safety and health matters.
Manage and review safety documentation and maintain proper control systems.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
Uphold environmental, safety, and health (ESH) practices consistently across project sites.
Organize safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site safety training sessions.
Prepare and review all Risk Assessments together with the project management team.
Conduct regular site inspections, follow up on corrective actions, and ensure safety compliance.
Investigate and analyze incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences, and recommend preventive measures.
Report incidents and maintain project accident statistics.
Coordinate daily site safety operations and actively learn operational practices on the ground to better support the project team.
Perform other ad-hoc safety-related duties as required.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant safety experience in the construction industry.
Must have completed a MOM-approved WSHC training course with competency certificates and be registered with MOM.
Additional certifications such as Work-at-Height, Confined Space, or other relevant safety credentials will be an advantage.
Strong understanding of WSH regulations and industry best practices.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
A team player with a proactive and responsible attitude.
Physically fit as the position requires the successful candidate to be on-site at times.
