What the role is:

We are looking for a temporary staff to be part of the Blood Services Group (BSG), Blood Resources Division. The appointee for this position will be a Temp Blood Professional Assistant who supports the blood collection operation in the blood bank. This position is intended to be on temporary contract, for up to 12 months. Successful appointee will be appointed under a contract by a recruitment agency. Our Blood banks operate 6 days a week*, between 9am - 8pm* (Operating days/hours vary based on location). Visit https://giveblood.sg to find out more. What you will be working on:

• As a first point of contact with Donors at our blood collection centres, handle enquires, assist with next appointment bookings, and manage feedback accordingly. \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform registration duties which include registering donor for donation and phlebotomy linking. \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct haemoglobin testing and capping which includes taking blood for haemoglobin test, explaining to donor on deferral if required, checking, sorting blood bags and sample tubes before passing it to the laboratory. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support blood collection team with necessary Operational Admin follow up duties. \xe2\x80\xa2 Candidates who are competent Phlebotomist will be deployed to support blood collection operations within donation rooms.

What we are looking for:

• Able to work weekends and afternoon shifts. \xe2\x80\xa2 Relevant working experience in a healthcare or customer service setting is preferred
