Youth Events And Marketing Executive (6 Months Internship)

Job Description

Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS) is seeking an enthusiastic individual to support GCNS Youth events and marketing matters. The ideal candidate is someone who will be able to commit full-time from 03 October 2022 to 31 March 2023 (6 months).Responsibilities:

  • Event and logistic (70%)
  • Support the delivery of various GCNS Youth events (Virtual, Physical or Hybrid format) - primarily the GCNS Youth Forum
  • Assist in the planning and implementing of event logistical support
  • Assist in any administrative and other ad hoc duties as required by Project Mangers (e.g. reviewing of vendor submissions/ site visits)
  • Marketing (30%)
  • Assist in marketing outreach and securing regional attendance for GCNS Youth Forum
  • Manage GCNS' youth social media pages
  • Assist in crafting and delivering marketing collaterals to engage GCNS' youth community (including GCNS' Quarterly Newsletter for youths)
  • Assist with other administrative and ad hoc duties that may be required by Project Managers
About GCNS Youth Forum GCNS Youth Forum is a forum by youths for youths. The Youth Forum aims to empower youths with a deeper knowledge on sustainability, and greater awareness of the roles youth can play as future thought leaders and change-makers. We engage youths to advocate and champion corporate sustainability through direct involvement in both the planning and execution of the event.Requirements:
  • Some knowledge/experience in event management
  • Some knowledge in various virtual platforms (e.g. Zoom, Google Meets), and willing to explore alternatives when required
  • Good understanding of digital marketing preferred
  • Possess initiative to look for alternative solutions and assist the team whenever needed
  • Goal-oriented with a mature disposition to take ownership of projects and targets assigned
  • Strong communicator (written and verbal); comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across different sectors, regions and seniority levels
  • Possess a positive work ethic and determination in achieving targets within tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Accept that OT is necessary at times
  • Some understanding of corporate sustainability and the SDGs will be advantageous
  • Able to work within a small team dynamic
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint required.
  • Good design sense and skills (such as Photoshop or Canva)
