Responsibilities

This role will play a key technical role in supporting the growth of the business in different countries of ASEAN&ANZ. The role is to be part of Dow\xe2\x80\x99s cutting edge technology development and resolve current and future scientific difficulties in material science.

1. Provide technical solutions

• Focus on client-side application development and technical support.
• Propose solutions to resolve internal and external technical issues related to the business.
• Identify gaps of existing products and technology, help develop new products by working closely with R&D experts.
• Lab work is also required in daily work.

2. Interface with Customers

• Cultivate and maintain customer intimacy by interacting with customers on a regular basis. Work closely with sales counterparts to develop and solidify relationships with customers.
• Responsibilities include: visit customers, provide technical consultation and troubleshooting advice, coordinate test samples and results, documentation, technical presentation and lab results analysis.

Qualifications

Proven track record of customer issue resolving and technical troubleshooting.

Good English reading, writing and speaking capability is also required. Local language capability is a plus.

Packaging and Specialty Plastics (P&SP)

• Master or PhD degree in Polymer Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and other relevant disciplines.
• Research Experience on plastics and rubber compounds formulation, process and application in infrastructure, consumer goods and transportation will be preferred.

Consumer Solutions (DCS)

• Master or PhD degree in Polymer Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Management of Technology and Innovation, Electrical and other relevant disciplines.
• Knowledge of trends in Electronics, sensors, assembly, consumer and communication markets will be preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Self-motivated, proactive, and confident. Possesses customer-oriented mentality. Can-do attitude.
• Can drive a project from beginning to the end under proposed time frame. Can set timeline and prioritize multiple projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills. Work comfortably in a team setting. Able to motivate and positively influence team members.
• Good writing and presentation skills.
• Travel up to 30% of work time within ASEAN& ANZ.
