Hence, we are committed to providing a conducive environment for all employees to realise their full potential, who in turn have the opportunity to continuously drive innovation.We have opportunities for you to grow your career path and are looking for talented professionals to join our team.Further information about Actxa:is looking for the Head of Research and Development (R&D)The Head of Research and Development is a leadership role in Actxa responsible for driving innovation, research, and development efforts in the field of preventive health utilizing artificial intelligence and deep technology solutions.This position plays a critical role in shaping the company\'s product offerings, technological advancements, and research initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and impact of preventive healthcare solutions.The Head of Research and Development plays a pivotal role in driving the company\'s mission to revolutionize preventive healthcare through cutting-edge AI and deep technology solutions, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing the overall quality of healthcare services.What will you do?1. Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement the R&D strategy aligned with the company\'s long-term vision and goals.
• Collaborate with the executive team to ensure R&D efforts support the overall business strategy
• Provide leadership and direction to the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and excellence.

2. Research and Innovation:

• Stay updated with the latest developments in AI, deep tech, and preventive health
• Identify and evaluate new technologies, methodologies, and research opportunities to maintain a competitive edge.
• Drive innovation by initiating and managing research projects related to preventive health, AI, and deep technology.

3. Product Development:

• Oversee the development of AI-driven preventive health products and solutions.
• Co-lead the product development process, from conceptualization to market launch.
• Ensure that products meet high-quality standards and regulatory requirements.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other departments, such as Marketing, Sales, and Operations, to align R&D efforts with business needs
• Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, hardware engineers, and other experts to integrate AI and deep tech into preventive health solutions.

5. Research Collaboration:

• Establish and nurture strong collaborative relationships with local and global hospitals, healthcare institutions, and research organizations
• Identify opportunities for joint research projects that leverage the expertise of these institutions in preventive healthcare and AI technologies.

6. Clinical Trials and Validation:

• Collaborate with hospitals and medical experts to design and conduct clinical trials to validate the efficacy of AI-driven preventive health solutions
• Ensure that research conducted in collaboration with healthcare institutions meets the highest ethical and scientific standards.

7. Team Management:

• Recruit, develop, and manage a talented and motivated R&D team.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Set clear goals, provide coaching, and evaluate team performance.

8. Budget and Resource Management:

• Manage the R&D budget effectively, allocating resources for research, product development, and innovation projects.
• Ensure optimal utilization of available resources and cost control.

9. Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay informed about healthcare and AI regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that the R&D efforts and developed products adhere to all relevant laws and regulations.

10. Intellectual Property (IP) Management: Oversee the protection and management of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights related to the company\'s AI and deep tech solutions.11. Market Research and Trends: Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.12. Reporting and Communication:

• Provide regular reports to the executive team and stakeholders on the progress and outcomes of R&D initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external partners, including investors and collaborators.

13. Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to technology, research, or development efforts and implement mitigation strategies.14. AI Business and Presales Consultation:

• Providing AI business and AI presales consultation services.
• Understanding company\'s goals and devising AI strategies and business framework, building an effective team that aligned with those objectives.
• Engaging with company\'s clients to grasp their specific business challenges, goals, and requirements.
• Developing tailored AI solution proposals or pitches aligned with client needs.
• Translating complex technical aspects of AI into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
• Working closely with sales teams and technical experts to refine proposals, ensuring feasibility and alignment with client requirements.
• Conducting presentations, demonstrations, and workshops to showcase the capabilities and benefits of AI solutions, fostering client understanding and buy-in.
• Establishing and nurturing relationships with potential clients, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the presales process.

Requirements:What are we looking for?

• A Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant field, such as AI, machine learning, health tech, or computer engineering.
• Extensive industrial experience (typically 10+ years) in machine learning, artificial intelligence, deep tech, and R&D leadership roles, with a proven track record of successful product development.
• Strong interest/knowledge in preventive health technology.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem definition and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication, presentation and collaboration skills.
• In-depth understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in healthcare and AI.
