The Cross Functional Business Analysis (CFBA) team within ISG Loans Technology at Citigroup is searching for a Technical Product Manager VP skilled in data analytics to aid in creating strategic automation solutions and process reengineering within the Information Services Group (ISG) and Institutional Client Group (ICG) for Loans Products and for Credit Risk Monitoring. The role involves partnering with several key internal stakeholders (Operations, Technology, Banking, Markets, Commercial Bank, TTS, Compliance and Risk) in order to create holistic and strategic solutions that fully support, satisfy, and anticipate the operational, credit monitoring, and reporting needs of the business and our regulators. The CFBA team can be described as a consultancy-style team of Technical Product Managers and Business Analysts that are deployed to varying projects across the Loans Reengineering Initiative in ICG as a lot of these projects include solutioning and defining requirements across multiple internal systems. Organization & Department Overview The Information Services Group (ISG) aims to be the best for our clients by creating a Service-Centric organization focused on digitizing Institutional Client Group's (ICG) products/services, driving out manual work, and delivering world-class Client Experience and enabling growth via scalability. The ISG organization works in partnership with data clients across all ICG business lines, deploying solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data. Job Functions The team is looking for a growth-oriented and curious product manager/business analyst who will: Define and own the resolution of issues - manage multiple program streams and develop technology solutions utilizing a strategy defined by the candidate, Drive solutions with evidence - perform data analysis activities utilizing Excel, SQL and/or Python, Influence team members by example & through knowledge sharing - mentor junior team members, aiding in their growth as individual contributors, Be a change agent - review existing processes critically in order to identify inefficiencies and automation solutions, Communicate effectively - author formal artifacts such as Business Requirement Documents, CAP closure and Internal Audit documents, and communication materials for senior management and key business partners in the form of PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets, Hunt for the right solutions - collaborate with team members, technology partners, and business partners to identify efficient and strategic solutions, Be organized and timely - have a strong appreciation for regulatory deadlines. An example of the VP's expected responsibilities would include owning both the strategy and the delivery of solutions to a Loans DQ remediation stream with regulatory defined milestones. Through the ownership of the solution, the VP would need to use product management and business analysis skills to define the root causes of the DQ issues, create a strategic remediation plan, network among others at Citi to identify owners of root cause solutions, work with the Program Manager to hold those owners accountable for remediation at the data source, track requirements and progress of remediation, etc. The expectation is for the VP to be able to lead various business analysis projects independently from start to finish and provide any necessary documentation and presentation materials related to the project. The business analyst will: gain leadership skills and exposure to other leaders across the bank grow to lead larger projects/programs over time enhance presentation skills that cater to the audience using multiple mediums (verbal, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), receive mentorship from the analyst's reporting line as well as through formal development and leadership programs within ISG, grow subject matter expertise in global loan products across Citigroup, risk management concepts, Citi systems and data architecture, and regulatory reporting, and be part of a collaborative, diverse, and results-driven team that supports one another on a daily basis. Qualifications The business analyst is expected to have: a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Science or Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or other similar degrees, greater than 6 years of experience working in Data Analytics, Product Management, Business Analytics, Banking Consultancy, or in a different related field a baseline understanding of financial instruments used by institutions. An understanding of loans products or credit risk management is a plus, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint, and experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, etc.
