Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank\'s operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

Delivery focus

• Responsible for driving end to end delivery and achievement of KPIs relevant to the workstream area
• Collaborate with workstream tech leads, stakeholders, product managers in reviewing, prioritizing and defining the Delivery Roadmap
• Own the visualization of the product roadmap, delivery targets, commitment and progress thru JIRA as a single source of truth to drive delivery
• Ensure transparency of Demand/Capacity Planning and own the resolution of risks, dependencies, and blockers (inhibiting delivery).
• Expediate Delivery by removing blockers and coordinating signoffs and approvals (UAT, Business PO)
• Communicate the delivery status on a timely basis to all relevant stakeholders
• Ensure adoption of Agile standards, practices and ceremonies, DDOM, Ways of Working, Agile Maturity KPIs, Continuous improvement initiatives for the team as well as the workstream (working closely with Agile Coach/Transformation Lead)
• Work closely with various stakeholders in the Platform to improve cross-workstream interactions and resolve cross-workstream dependencies

• Lead and own project\'s JIRA backlog as well as sprint grooming sessions
• Works with MLE workstream tech lead(s) to ensure user stories are DoR compliant, ensuring user stories have clear acceptance criteria
• Drives the specification of clear requirements. Where suitable,Iterates on partial requirements to drive product delivery
• Engages with LOBTs (Line of Business Tech) to ensure product features meet their expectations
• Expedite deliveries by removing barriers - especially around requirements clarification and gathering. Works with workstream tech load to assess if partial requirements are clear enough to start development work

• Internal

• Work closely with data scientists, business team, and project managers to provide machine learning and data-driven business solutions.
• Collaborate with other technology teams to build platform and frameworks to enable machine learning and data analytics activities at large scale
• External

• Maintain engineering principles and best practices of machine learning framework and technologies.

• PhD/Masters/Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related disciplines.
• 10+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner or in software engineering with exposure to stakeholder management and product delivery.
• Excellent understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
• Exposure to programming skills in either Python or Java.
• Exposure to containerization/ virtualization platforms, e.g. Docker/Kubernetes.
• Exposure to data science and machine learning technologies and methodologies.
• Understanding of high performance computing, parallel data processing, and big data stack, e.g. Spark and Hadoop/Yarn.
• Experience to one or more commercial / open source data warehouses or data analytics systems, e.g. Teradata, is a big plus.
• Experience to one or more NoSQL databases is a big plus.
• Experience or Cloudera Data Science Workbench, is a big plus.
• Passion about machine learning and data-driven intelligence system.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Team player, self-starter, ability to work on multiple projects in parallel is necessary.
• Experience working in multi-cultural environments
