Responsibilities:
Create both character concepts and completed character illustrations that are in line with the specified vision. Communicate and develop visual ideas and directions with the art team and management Participate in the ongoing refinement of the team's workflow and process, and provide constructive feedback on the work of your peers Where necessary, take on related tasks that contribute to the success of the above.
Candidate Requirements:
This is a Digital 2D role. 3D may be used as part of the workflow, but the final deliverables will be 2D illustrations.
High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, and in 2D illustration Capable of achieving a realistic, defined, yet visibly painted style, with the seamless integration of photo textures to push the detail density of final illustrations. Strong understanding of art fundamentals and the ability to deliver quality work quickly and consistently. A confident handle on what goes into realistic, attractive illustrations, and an eye for detail and sensible design Good English communication skills, with the ability to relay abstract concepts in a concise manner to individuals without artistic backgrounds A readiness to see oneself as part of a team with a common purpose and direction A mindset tuned to personal and collective growth, with the ability to learn quickly and to take initiative for self improvement on the job Abilities in graphic design, environment art/design, 3D modelling, and other aspects of a game production pipeline may be bonuses, but by no means requirements.
