Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Review routine accounting & finance duties prepared/performed by the Accounts Executive including:
  • Accounts Receivables
  • Accounts Payables
  • Fixed Assets
  • General Ledger
  • Monthly income tax computation
  • Monthly bank reconciliations & other reconciliations
  • Monthly financial and management reports including monthly balance sheet schedules and variance analysis
  • Quarterly GST filing
  • AR and intercompany billing
  • Review monthly payments to vendors and going through payments with CFO for approval
  • Monitor monthly cash flow of company
  • Review monthly management accounts of subsidiaries/joint ventures/associates whose accounts are prepared by a separate finance team
  • Review monthly variance analysis of associate
  • Review monthly summary of investment in subsidiaries and associate
  • Prepare quarterly group consolidation accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Prepare group consolidation reports e.g. year-end announcement and analysis of financial information for management
  • Prepare board papers for quarterly board meetings
  • Review profit share computation for certain employees
  • Assist in drafting of annual report, sustainability report and subsidiaries' financial statements
  • Coordinate annual audit including liaising with both internal and external auditors on their queries and being involved in discussions/meetings with them
  • Review and discuss with management and auditors on impairment assessment
  • Liaise with both internal and external parties e.g. directors, printers, corporate secretary, bankers, auditors and tax agents
  • Manage monthly timely closing process
  • Assist in AGM related matters
  • Assist in vesting of performance shares matters
  • Assist in corporate secretariat matters including drafting board resolutions and arranging for directors' signature
  • Assist in compilation/preparation of information for reports on an ad hoc basis
  • Any other ad hoc duties from time to time as assigned
  • General office administration matters
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent
  • Chartered Accountant with at least 5 years of experience in accounting & finance
  • Experience in listed companies
  • Knowledge of SFRS(I) with strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and willing to learn
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
  • Familiar with MS Office applications
  • Experience in MYOB accounting systems would be an advantage
  • Temporary full-time role (contract period of 6 months)
