It means everyone in Telstra plays a role in achieving our strategy and purpose We are looking for an Account Director/Business Development to based in Singapore, who will build and identify new pipelines by leveraging technical and industry expertise, partners, and internal resources. You will also drive and close Cloud/Data/AI/Application/Datacentre/Network opportunities, developing and winning market-making opportunities that enable transformational customer outcomes and accelerating digitalization in Telstra’s most strategic Mid markets customers across APAC. You will also nurture the relationships we have built with our existing clients, supporting them to partner with Telstra to unlock their business and technology challenges. You thrive on growing these relationships and identifying new ways for Telstra to address their strategic needs. Your ability to listen to and deeply understand our customers, combined with your understanding of Telstra’s products and services, sees you deliver exceptional sales moments with our clients. In doing so you contribute to high-value, high-profit sales solutions that directly contribute to Telstra’s growth. Responsibilities As a Business Development Manager , you leverage on your excellent communication skills to present, assert and speak to different stakeholders involved in the customer’s organization. You must also be able to cold-call prospects with confidence to gain new clients, by leveraging on your high EQ and awesome relationship building skills to deliver the following responsibilities:

  • Drives the sales cycle from lead qualification through to deal closure, effectively executing per Telstra selling processes and methods to drive deal velocity and successfully close deals.
  • Manages the end-to-end business for strategic Mid-markets Enterprise accounts across the growth markets organization. Be in control of forecasting for accounts and develops a portfolio and territory plan to drive intentional selling with on-strategy engagements in high propensity accounts.
  • Leverages appropriate Telstra Go To Market (GTM) assets & motions to drive transformational customer conversations, communicating our Telstra Purple Consulting & Telstra’s Adaptive Networks value proposition, aligned to customers’ priorities.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of assigned account/portfolio plans, including developing and promoting the account strategy in order to support the retention and growth of customer portfolios. Create the planning and execution on opportunities with resources and partners across territories to cross-sell and up-sell.
  • Take accountability for managing customer relationships, responding to queries and complaints, escalating issues and risks to more experience team members as required, to ensure timely resolution and mediation.
  • Collaborates with peers, team members, key stakeholders (Telstra Purple Team & Adaptive Networks Team) & partners eco-systems to identify and qualify leads in order to effectively manage opportunity pipeline, contributing to business growth for Telstra.
  • Support the development of regular reporting to monitor portfolio performance against defined financial and customer targets (revenue, profitability, NPS).
Qualifications / Certifications:
  • Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or Information Systems or Data Science or equivalent
  • Azure certified (preferred)
  • AWS certified (preferred)
Skills and Experience:
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Fluent Mandarin Chinese language skills
  • Previous experience in presales, customer service, sales, account management is preferred
  • Growth mindset and self-motivated
  • Passion to build and develop and nurture strong customer relationships
  • Love to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent Track record of participation in co- curriculum activities such competitive sports, Student Council or exchange programmes.
