The Digital Industry Singapore (DISG) office is a joint office comprising officers from EDB, ESG and IMDA. DISG will drive job creation, capability building, enterprise development and internationalization across key local and international digital enterprises. The role of DISG will be to oversee Singapore’s efforts in industrializing digital, which is the building up of supply-side companies in the digital industry vertical. The work of digitalizing industries will be driven by the respective sector leads as part of the Industry Digitalization Plans. Responsibilities In this role, your responsibilities will includes (a) Support and Lead Account Management Activities
  • Support Account Managers and lead in the planning and execution of account management activities for portfolio of companies in the end-to-end process of account development, project negotiation and execution and client servicing
  • Gain deep understanding of clients, their needs, operations and structure to implement and execute client engagement strategies
  • Support client engagement, project negotiation and servicing outcomes; these can include company-level analysis, preparing relevant materials (e.g. proposals for partnership/ investment opportunities, talking points for meetings, addressing information requests, reporting needs), incentive processing, developing solutions, drafting contracts and project monitoring
  • Activate relevant resources and expertise (in EDB/ government/ ecosystem partners) to support client engagement activities

(b) Market Analysis
  • Uncover new economic opportunities in areas such as Web 3.0, Quantum.
  • Lead and undertake ad-hoc competitive analysis (e.g. market/ sector-based, trends) to augment client engagement strategies
  • Identify trends/ observations across sector and recommend and put forth solutions in response to issues faced by clients or potential impact on them
  • Provide inputs where relevant to appropriate teams in EDB and/or rest of Singapore government on policies or product/ service development (e.g. in incentive design, resource negotiation)
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience, preferably with the Digital industry sector, and/or in business development, managing key accounts and driving successful project and investment outcomes with similar client profile
  • Ability to analyse in-depth different complex issues and put forth actionable solutions
  • Keen sense of business acumen and experience in project management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken; including ability and experience in engaging stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a team player
  • Singaporean
