Sometimes though we put Cortex first and help clients across the World host marketing material that is then available for their marketing agencies and networks to personalize and download for their own use.

So, who are we looking for? We are looking for a passionate Account Manager to work in our Cortex team to help support and deliver the roll out of our Cortex programme to our client, BMW Mini Japan. You will be ready to take that next step in managing roll out and ongoing management of this unique marketing platform, working with our UK-based team to launch the platform and be the day to day agency lead for our client.

Reporting into the Account Director based in the UK, you will need to be a self-starter, capable of working remotely with the UK-based team as well as fostering strong relationships with our clients based in Japan. You will need to be good at prioritizing multiple demands and dealing with a wide variety of responsibilities; from dealing with client requests, to providing training, and reporting on projects.

You will love getting stuck into the detail, get excited about the Cortex Platform and what it can offer, as well as thriving on accurate delivery. You will have the ability to work collaboratively to find the most effective and efficient way of getting the job done, but be equally confident in working independently whilst supported by the team in the UK. Above all we are looking for someone we will enjoy working with, who has a positive can-do attitude, and who can be fully trusted and relied upon to drive forward the Cortex Platform in Japan.

What are the key responsibilities?

  • Building and maintaining strong Client relationships and to be the first point of contact for the Client on day to day matters
  • Managing projects on a day to day basis to ensure the Client needs are being met and exceeded
  • Working seamlessly with the UK-based team to ensure smooth delivery of new product launches and client onboarding
  • Presenting (verbally and in writing) the Agency's proposals and recommendations effectively, logically and concisely
  • Delivering effective training to the client, dealer marketing agencies and wider dealer network
  • Proactively working to enhance the engagement of the Cortex platform with the network
  • Relaying constructive feedback on the platform back to our product team to further enhance the platform
  • Responsibility for day to day budget management, monitoring all job costs, and obtaining approval before spend is committed
  • Forecasting of agency income and resource requirements.

Is there any specific experience, skills or qualifications needed?
  • Bilingual speaker: English and Japanese
  • Ability to work remotely with support from UK-based team
  • Proven track record of building strong client relationships
  • B2B and Automotive experience is a plus
  • Excellent organizational, presentation and communication skills
  • Quick learner of new technologies, tools and processes
  • Future-minded individual with a strong desire to contribute to an exciting new programme
  • Ability to proactively identify new opportunities to help grow the Cortex programme within the Japanese market.
