Our client is a leader in telecommunications infrastructure. It is seeking to employ an
experienced professional to join them as
Accountant (AP & GL) (Ref: KHXXX)
This position is responsible for the Accounts Payable and General Ledger functions of
our client.
The Job
\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure the capturing of all invoices by team members on an accurate and timely
manner.
\xef\x82\xb7 Review payments processed to ensure compliance with the payment policies.
\xef\x82\xb7 Perform vendor reconciliations and follow up with unreconciled transactions.
\xef\x82\xb7 Review bi-monthly internal fund transfers.
\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure that monthly accounts are closed on time.
\xef\x82\xb7 Perform variance analysis to capture an accurate BS and PL.
\xef\x82\xb7 Review and ensure audit schedules are completed with accuracy.
\xef\x82\xb7 Review and ensure bank reconciliations are performed on a timely basis.
\xef\x82\xb7 Review journals entries.
\xef\x82\xb7 Support Group consolidation.
\xef\x82\xb7 Prepare and review GST submission for the Group.
\xef\x82\xb7 Prepare financial statements and submission of XBRL.
\xef\x82\xb7 Monitor daily cash book to ensure a healthy level of working capital.
\xef\x82\xb7 Be involved in process-improvement initiatives
\xef\x82\xb7 Liaise with internal and external auditors on accounting matters.
\xef\x82\xb7 Assist in any ad-hoc duties as assigned
The Candidate
\xef\x82\xb7 Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification with minimum 2
years of working experience in a commercial firm
\xef\x82\xb7 Experience in system implementation
\xef\x82\xb7 Strong computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, and
experience in SAP B1 is an added advantage.
\xef\x82\xb7 Must have a positive attitude, able to communicate clearly, meticulous, analytical
and able to work under pressure.
