The co is a global engineering group listed as a FTSE100 company on the UK stock exchange. The co has a sales and distribution business in Asia. This role reports to a regional controller and will play a hands-on accountant role.

Job Specification for this accountant role: Reporting directly to the Business Controller, Asia Pacific located in Singapore

• Managing full set of Accounts for Singapore entity:

• Accounts Receivables

• Accounts Payable

• Fixed Asset register

• Prepayment, accrual and other schedules

• Prepare payment to vendors and process staff expenses claim

• Inter-companies, bank, sales, AR, AP and others balance sheet reconciliation

• Prepare journals

• Prepare daily order and sales reports (submission via email)

• Prepare weekly cash and sales reports (submission via Cognos)

• Prepare monthly financial reports to headquarter (submission via Cognos)

• Cash flow management, including exercising forward contracts

• Prepare yearly company income tax’s tax pack and audit information

• Prepare yearly employee income tax return Appendix benefit-in-kind information

• Ensuring compliance with local regulatory matters, GST, withholding tax and company tax

• Liaise with internal auditor, external auditor, tax agent, company secretary, bank and related companies

• Provide accounting guidance to Australia accounts staff

• Prepare monthly report for Australia sales entity (Cognos)

• Assist Business Controller, Asia Pacific in preparation of budget and forecasting process and statutory accounts when required.

• Entering expenses claim for Head of Sale

• Covering customer service role when she is out of office(not frequent) given the smaller setting of the office.

Qualification and requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or relevant field

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

- Experience in handle full set of accounts - Hands-on experience in accounting software; JD Edward and Cognos (not compulsory)

• Proficient in MS office applications, particularly in advance excel (e.g. pivot tables)

• Ability to work efficiently and independently in a multi-tasking environment

• Comfortable to work in a small set up local company

• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels with different culture

• Able to communicate in Mandarin as this role will interact in Mandarin will colleagues from China, Taiwan etc.

• Comfortable to work in a small set up local company/ set up (of around 9 staff in Singapore)

• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels with different cultural background
