Accounting Analyst (1 year contract, renewable)

Working Location: Boon Lay

Working Days: Monday - Friday

Working Hours: 8:30am - 5:15pm

Basic salary: SGD 4,000 to SGD 5,200 monthly, 13th month, SGD 250 transport allowance

Basic Functions

The Accounting Analyst assists the Controller - Commercial PS Asia, in managing Regional and Singapore Financial Statements, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Intercompany Accounts, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, External and Internal Audit, Management Reporting and all accounting matters for Legal Reporting for Company.

Responsible for financial reporting, treasury matters and assist the departments in monitoring indirect expenses and develop, maintain and enhance financial controls to safeguard the assets of the Company.

Contributes to the company Finance in achieving quality reporting (Financial and Management). Under general direction, to assist the Controller in providing Management and key personnel with timely, accurate and relevant information for improved decision making and preparing strategic and financial plans, including enhancing reporting and analysis to improve productivity and quality of reporting and analysis.

Specific Responsibilities * Maintains of general ledger in SAP and both management and legal books

• Prepares monthly and yearly financial statements in accordance with Singapore FRS and US GAAP and yearend package
• Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations correctly and timely for review by Controller and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations to Corporate Accounting
• Coordinates and prepares yearly statutory audit and tax return by PWC and ad-hoc financial compliance audit by Internal Auditors
• Provides recommendation on accounting process improvement methods
• Assists Controller in any tasks relating to accounting or investigation and any management reporting.
• Handles accounting matters relating to sales and cost of sales and generate relevant reports
• Handles matters relating to capital assets including PlanViewer, ACT
• Monitors monthly indirect expenses vs forecast vs plan vs prior year for the region
• Supervises all GST/MES related matters for the Singapore plant
• Supports any plant facilities in the region for matters which are accounting related
• Supports any reporting requirements by Corporate Accounting
• Assists in the preparation of annual financial plan and/or monthly forecast
• Takes any ad-hoc projects as assigned by Controller or when driven by business needs

Qualifications / Requirements * Degree holder in Accounting /ACCA

• Minimum 6 years of relevant financial/management experience, preferably with audit/tax preparation experience
• Experienced in handling full sets of accounting and taxation matters.
• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS)
• Experience in SAP system (FICO) is a must.
• Have working experience with Shared Services team.
