The Finance & Accounting team is the backbone of the organisation, facilitating the practical budgeting, risk analysis, spending and financial record-keeping for all arms of the business. As an Accounting Intern (Accounts Payable), you will serve as the bookkeeper of the organisation's day-to-day financial records involving invoices and claims payable to our partners and suppliers.

Beyond finance and accounting roles, you will also actively help in streamlining work processes and ensure compliance of our accounting operations with local laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

  • Review all invoices from suppliers, inter-company and staff claims, ensuring each and every transaction is recorded in the accounting system (Xero & QuickBooks) in a timely and accurate manner
  • Follow established payment approval authorisation workflow and process payment when due
  • Reconcile vendor billing statements and correcting discrepancies
  • Maintain filing and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with Company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Prepare relevant operational financial reports and costs forecast
  • Respond to vendor and/or management inquiries
Finance Projects
  • Actively involved in improving and streamlining Finance processes
  • Assist in annual financial audits
  • Assist with Finance & Accounting projects as and when necessary
Qualifications
  • Minimally a diploma in accountancy, finance, banking or related studies
  • Keen eye for detail, ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Enjoy being in a ever-changing, fast-paced hospitality scene
  • Loves pushing boundaries and venturing into the unknown
  • Grabbing the bull by its horns, taking challenges head on and not back away
