  • We are looking for an Accounting Supervisor who will assist in overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the Accounting Department. The Accounting Supervisor's responsibilities include but are not limited to managing payroll, generating financial forecasts and reports, ensuring tax compliance, and monitoring cash flows. The candidate must adhere to internal controls through reliable financial reporting and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Meets financial accounting objectives by forecasting requirements, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Manages bi-monthly payroll, 13th-month pay, loan computations, salary adjustments, and salary release.
  • Generates monthly projected cash outflows and reports actual weekly and monthly cash outflows.
  • Maintains cash flow by monitoring bank balances and cash requirements.
  • Supervise the general ledger accounting functions and prepares balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Reviews check amounts against invoices and authorize check transfers to approve cash disbursements.
  • Reviews petty cash funds and checks audit trails.
  • Prepares and analyzes financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with generally accepted accounting practices.
  • Reviews finalized audited financial reports every month.
  • Manages and ensures that company taxes are paid on time.
  • Ensures tax compliance and other mandatory regulations of government agencies, such as BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-Ibig, LGU, and CDC.
  • Reviews Purchase Orders for Vendors on items to purchases
  • Verifies and approves accounting documents processed by the department.
  • Ensures compliance with deadlines of accounting activities, financial reporting, tax requirements, regulatory reporting requirements, and year-end audits.
  • Work with external auditors in providing all necessary financial data and audit findings.
  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Understands current and proposed legislation to the top management, enforce accounting regulations, and recommend new procedures.
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be a graduate of Accountancy or equivalent.
  • At least two years (s) of working experience in General Accounting at a Supervisory Level.
  • Has a mastery of accounting, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures, Tax rules, and their implementation.
  • With strong leadership abilities, management, and organizational skills.
  • With good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work under pressure and for extended hours.
  • With an honest and discreet attitude when dealing with company records
  • Experienced in Accounting System transition would be an advantage but not required
